For my archive, I am planning to collect a series of different character designs both used in animations, and ones that didn't make the cut. In building this journal archive, I want to create a story through a variety of fun characters that will bring out a lively persona. I am deciding to also find designs that have been turned away just to show how they are just as significant by giving these characters the spotlight that they never had. I want to collect a diversity of sketches, complete designs, and work in progresses to give insight from the animator's mind. Whether its Mickey Mouse, or a character that we have never heard about, I aim to draw out their lively aspects through this archive. By doing this, I am looking for designs that are able to bring out the character's personality through positions of movement even if we have never seen them on screen. These may even include some of my designs in which I will tie them all together.
